Read more… Poor Readers: Pilot Study at a School in Keswick, Cumbria, UK During a visit to South Africa, teacher Donna Walker saw Audiblox in action at a school and decided to introduce Audiblox at her school. Eleven children, with an average age of 9 years and 9 months, and at the time the poorest readers in the school, were selected for the study. Beating Dyslexia: Poor Reading, Letter Reversals, Spelling Problems Terry-André Eleftheriou had had remedial lessons for three years for his reading problem. “I have taught him to cope with the work but I have not been able to teach him to read. His reading has always been a serious problem and he has been diagnosed as dyslexic,” wrote Jennie van Zyl, Terry-André's remedial teacher. In the remedial class, he was the student who spelled his words correctly, week after week, and day after day.
