Quenten Venter

“Quenten only came to the Sonstraal School in March 2001, after showing no progress in the previous 2 schools he attended. He is 10 years old. His initial evaluation indicated that he had not yet mastered many of the pre-school abilities. He could barely read, his number concept was atrocious, colour concept was uncertain, he still made mistakes with left and right, he confused and reversed letters, and the development of all his motor abilities was behind. In general, he was a very nervous child who lacked confidence and motivation.

“After only 5 months at his new school, he reads beautifully and has already completed 25 Grade 1 reading books. He can now read 250 words fast and fluently. He knows his 2x- and 3x-multiplication tables and is able to give the answers quickly. Previously, where he made up to 18 mistakes a day with left and right discrimination, he now only makes 3 mistakes a day. He is able to remember up to 18 blocks in the Sequencing exercise and 16 blocks in the Pattern exercise. Audiblox has done much for Quenten!

“Quenten is currently doing Grade 1, and for his first Brainline tests on word building he scored 83% and 95%.

“In general, there has been a drastic improvement in all aspects of his schoolwork. Furthermore, the previously insecure child has been replaced by one with confidence. If Quenten continues to work hard, there is bound to be further progress!”
