Testing for Learning Disabilities:
Question and Answer

QUESTION:

Doesn't my son need to be tested to be able to tell if Audiblox will work? I was just wondering how I know for sure he needs this program if the children are not tested beforehand?

ANSWER:

Testing is not required before starting with Audiblox for the following reasons:

  • Audiblox is based on universal learning principles — not on learning styles or individual learning preferences — such as the universal principle that learning is a stratified process. For example, every child must be taught to count before he can learn to add and subtract. In the same way there are foundational skills that every child must learn first, before it becomes possible for him to learn to read, spell, and write. Audiblox teaches these foundational skills. • Audiblox is comprehensive. Each exercise addresses a variety of foundational skills.

  • Audiblox is diagnostic. Performance on the exercises indicates the child’s weaknesses and strengths.
