Special Education Resources
Special education is defined as direct instructional activities or special learning experiences designed primarily for students identified as having exceptionalities in one or more aspects of the cognitive process or as being underachievers in relation to general level or model of their overall abilities. Such services usually are directed at students with physical, emotional and cognitive learning disabilities. Programs for the mentally gifted and talented are also included in some special education programs.

Audiblox Cognitive Development Program
System of cognitive exercises, aimed at the development of the skills foundational to reading, spelling, writing and math. Audiblox can be applied one-on-one or in a group setting. Training for the one-on-one Audiblox application is video-based while hands-on training is required to apply Audiblox to groups of students.
The Right to Read: Beating Dyslexia and other Learning Disabilities
The most common one-on-one Audiblox application is to correct reading disabilities. Chapter 20 in Part Two of the book The Right to Read contains a program that effectively addresses reading disabilities. Read Part One of this book online.
Dysgraphia: Handwriting Help for Children
Even in these days of the magic of computer word processing, handwriting is a necessary competency. The word dysgraphia is used to describe a severe problem with handwriting. The Audiblox Dysgraphia Program, which is included in the one-on-one Audiblox kit, simultaneously addresses reading and handwriting disabilities.
Math Learning Disabilities: Overcoming Math Problems
Math learning disabilities can be a debilitating problem in school and in later life. In today’s world, mathematical knowledge, reasoning, and skills are no less important than reading ability. The Audiblox Math Program, which is included in the one-on-one Audiblox kit, is effective for math learning disabilities.
Spelling Help: How to Improve Spelling
Spelling is one curriculum area in which neither creativity nor divergent thinking is encouraged. Only one sequence or arrangement of letters can be accepted as correct; there is no compromise or leeway. The Audiblox Spelling Program, which is included in the one-on-one Audiblox kit, is effective for difficulties in spelling.
